The Journey Cowl pattern

$5.00

As autumn has hit, are you looking for a lightweight cowl that can keep you warm on those cooler mornings and evenings?  The Journey Cowl, made with DK weight yarn, is just the thing.

The Journey Cowl is a simple construction, with a memorable stitch pattern repeat, designed with the intention that it can be easily picked up and put down when passing the time on journeys, from grocery store runs, to long-haul flights.

What’s even better about this cowl? It’s made inside out so less purls and more knit stitches!

This cowl is part of ‘The Journey’ series. Other patterns in the collection are The Journey Hat and The Journey Socks.

MATERIALS

  • DK weight yarn. I used Juniper Moon Farm, Patagonia - 100% organic wool. 382 yards | 349 metres 100 grams | 3.5 ounces in colourway Indigo

  • 1 x Circular knitting needles 4mm (US6)  with cable length of 16 inch |  40.5 centimetres or whichever size needed to obtain gauge

  • 9 x stitch markers- including one for BOR

  • Scissors and tapestry needle

CONSTRUCTION

This cowl is knit in the round constructed from bottom up.

SIZES

One size

Final measurements

23.5 inches | 60 centimetre circumference X 8 inches | 20.5 centimetre height.

This pattern would be nothing without my testers, so a big thank you to them!
